After dropping mom off at the airport, Steven and I had a hard time trying to find our way to Old San Juan. After a quick stop to find out where we were, I went across the street while Steven asked for directions and found the most beautiful panoramic view. I took about a million pictures.

On our way to take mom and Junito back to the airport, we stopped by the side of the road to my a hammock "hamaca" and on our way we were.

Later, after mom and Junito were already dropped off at the airport; mom told me that my real dad was there waiting for her. They had lunch together and back to their separate lives. I thought it was the weirdest thing yet. Not as weird as dad having a newborn, but weird like me being pregnant after all these years. JUST WEIRD. Junito bought an $86 dollar Fossil watch that I recently found out he lost at the local Dairy Queen. What a dumbass!

These trees were reason for debate once upon a time in Puerto Rico. When this major highway was to be built, these trees were on the way. When they were gonna cut them down, the community was furious because this tree is very rare. It's one of the oldest trees in Puerto Rico. They are called "Ceiba" trees.

Gramma had a good time in Puerto Rico. We went to Digna's house (one of my mom's best friends).

Elsita was sooooo mad and none of us know why.

This was my "most favoritest" beach ever. Crash Boat was THE SPOT back then. In high school, if you cut class, that's where you'd go. To play volleyball, or hang out with boys, to drink beer and be young and stupid. Get rid of a hang over or just tan or swim. I loved it.

This is el Parque Colon. It mean Colon Park. Yiak! Sounds Nasty in English. Anyways, I used to go there a lot. I cut class once and went here. I was afraid because my mom used to work in this town, not too far from this beach. I didn't wanna be seen. Steven really liked this Park and the pictures turned out great!!!

This is the Water Park. Its called Las Cascadas.

We used to go there a lot. A kid once disappeared

from there and they later found him

in pieces in the mountain behind the Water Park.

Til this day, they still blame it on a Satanic Cult.

I haven't been there in probably 8 years.

This is the house that my grandmother was raised in. She took care of her mother until she died and later on, apparently, she kept the house. By this time of course, my grandmother already had a house of her own, therefore, she let one of her nephews use it until they got back on their feet. About ten years later, they were still in the house, WITHOUT PAYING RENT. When they finally built a house, I asked them what they were gonna do with the house (Because I didn't know that the house belonged to my grandmother) and they said they were gonna let an uncle use it. When I overheard my mother and grandmother talking one morning over coffee, they were discussing what they were gonna do with the house, now that they were moving out. I couldn't help but enter into the conversation and share my knowledge about the "uncle" that's moving into the house. After they had a heart attack, they went over there and asked for the key to be handed over IMMEDIATELY. The Family Feud began and the house was demolished (My mom got some guy with a bulldozer to do it). After getting some money and a blueprint of the new house to be built, the unwelcomed family would destroy the walls as soon as walls were built. After a couple of attempts to rebuild, funds fell short and the house has sat unfinished for ten or more years. The land around it keeps diminishing because they keep making the mountain smaller by digging around the sides. Now the street is wider and the land is smaller. I'm just glad I'm not the owner of that house because the other house would have been burnt down a LONG TIME AGO...

This is just a little river in the back of a public park in San Sebastian. I'd been there previously several times when I used to cut class to hang out w my friends. Good times man!!!

After going around town, we ate the best Puertorrican-style Chinese food ever!

This is the NOVILLA. It's basically a cow. There's a festival honoring the NOVILLA every year right after Christmas. IT'S JUST A BIG EXCUSE TO GET DRUNK AND PARTY!

The third day in Puerto Rico, Steven and I decided to go driving around. First, we went to Moca, PR. My OFFICIAL home town but I don't like saying I'm from there, I usually say I'm from San Sebastian because that's where I went to school.

This is the Catholic Church of Moca. It's very beautiful inside. Steven and Junito took this photo while I was sneaking away to the Laboratory to get my blood drawn for Pregnancy Test. I also visited my old boss (Dr. Gonzalez), she's a pediatrician.

Afterwards, I went to visit my friend Yaritza Rios. She played volleyball with me for the longest time. We exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch.

After our awesome day at the beach, we decided to go to Don Quijote Restaurant, a place my family had gone to a long long time ago, but, to our disappointment, it's closed down since. We decided to drive meaninglesly until 45 minutes later we decided to eat at El Gran Oasis. I had 'mofongo' and everyone else had some type or another of puertorrican food. (Except for Junito because he HAD to had Filet Mignon-$39). We were so full we were gonna die but we survived and it was awesome...

Just a reminder of how humid it was in Puerto Rico. It had only been raining for approx. 2 minutes and not only was this mountain this foggy, but everything else aswell (and it was about 3pm)!!!

Our first OFFICIAL day at the beach was a total success. We arrived early (it was only a couple of steps from the beach house we rented) and started basking in the puertorrican Sun. The most amazing weather and after getting all oiled up, we got in the water. I guess I need not mention that after safely returning to Florida, you can still see the marks of where I peeled.

Later on Francisco arrived with his family.

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you... CORCEGA BEACH!!!

We went to Corcega, where the many weekends of my childhood were spent. The trailer looked better than I remember. The beach was isolated but as beautiful as ever. We walked around a bit and off we went to drink coconut water and eat the inside of it (la tela).

Apparently, mom's been watching America's Next Top Model. She's got all the poses down.
Junito took this picture of us. It's one of my favorites.

The first morning in Rincon, we went to a bakery we'd had breakfast in many many times. We ate bread with butter, a sandwich for me, and everyone else had rotisserie chicken (FOR BREAKFAST!!!)

The beach house we stayed in was awesome. Jose didn't like it though. He is soooo preppy. Gramma had a good time, but she refused to stay with us in the only air conditioned room.

The beach house was in Rincon, PR. When I was growing up, that was the weekend destination, EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. It was pretty cool to be back.

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! How crazy! After all the pictures and all the descriptions that Steven has had to endure, finally he can see my beautiful island for himself. I am very excited to show him my roots, my hometown, my hangouts, the well kept secret hideaways, and all the things that have me be me now.
